I made it to Barcelona safe and sound! We got here yesterday and it was quite the journey finding out hostel. It is in a really popular area about 2 blocks off Las Ramblas, but it is on a tiny little side street. We asked several policemen for a pointer in the right direction, and they gave us instructions in broken English, but it didn´t help. We also asked a taxi driver and he had no idea where the street was! To make a long story short, we eventually found it but by that point were hot, tired and hungry. We walked around Las Ramblas a lot, went down to the water (Mediterranean is beautiful!) and took it easy. Today we saw a lot...La Boqueria (awesome market with tons of fruit I had never seen, fresh meat, other stuff), Sagrada Familia, Casa Battlo, La Pedrera, Passeig de Gracia (shopping street), Barrio Gotico and Catedral Gotico (Gothic quarter from like 300 AD), then took a boat ride on the sea. Now we are back at the hostel and getting ready to go out to an interactive shots bar for a bit...but will probably call it a relatively early night. Tomorrow is Parc Guell, Picasso Museum, and some other stuff.
